Director Biography - Steve Dawson

First published at the age of 18, Steve has always had an affinity for the written word. His love of movies drew him into writing numerous screenplays in addition to his time spent in several different positions within the entertainment industry. His directorial debut was an award winning short film, "Vision".

Director Biography - Jacynta Scurfield, Megan Liddell

Jacynta is a 3D animator and artist based in Wellington, New Zealand. Creating short films with friends since she was young ignited her love for animation and directing, leading her to making this film today. Jacynta is also an actor and has performed in the Globe Theatre London, and an illustrator who has done work for book covers and card games. She considers her acting and illustration background to have a huge influence over her work -- along with her Welsh Springer Spaniels.

Megan is a 3D Artist hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand. A fan of Visual Effects since she was young, she gravitated towards short film competitions with a team of high school friends, before moving to Auckland to get her degree in VFX. Since her last years of high-school and on through her studies, she can frequently be found working backstage on theatre productions (when she wasn’t busy with her school work of course). Her favourite shows to work on so far have been Wicked, Mamma Mia, and Sister Act. Megan considers her experience behind-the-scenes across the different forms of storytelling and entertainment she has found herself taking part in, to be a great foundation for her future endeavours, and whatever stories she may be telling there in.

director biography - Jorge Morais

Jorge Morais is a distinguished independent filmmaker and artist hailing from Vigo, Spain. His artistic journey commenced at a young age, deeply entwined with various disciplines, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Notably, sculpture emerged as his primary focus early in his creative development.
Morais entered the realm of graffiti and mural painting during his formative years, where he cultivated a unique style of expression that garnered the attention of commercial brands seeking artistic and advertising collaborations. This early exposure facilitated his transition into the fields of decoration and theatrical stage design, where he successfully led teams on projects across Spain and Portugal, even before completing his secondary education.
Throughout his career in Fine Arts, Morais adeptly navigated various professional realms, including scenography, painting, and illustration in both Galicia and Portugal. His multifaceted experiences culminated in a series of collaborative projects, painting exhibitions, and advertising campaigns. He also spearheaded a collective of emerging artists known as New Order Productions, which enriched his artistic repertoire and honed his leadership capabilities—qualities that would later empower him to venture into the field of animation following his graduation from the Faculty of Fine Arts.
In 2010, Morais premiered his inaugural animated short film, The Painter of Skies, as the capstone project for his Master's degree in animation. The film garnered significant national and international acclaim, achieving selection in over 300 festivals and amassing 125 awards globally. This transformative experience served as a catalyst for a series of travels to esteemed studios and production companies across Portugal, India, England, Italy, and Germany. Throughout this journey, he immersed himself in a variety of projects that not only broadened his skill set in production design, animation, modeling, and kinematics but also significantly enhanced his professional reputation within the animation industry. Each engagement provided unique insights and opportunities for collaboration, ultimately contributing to his comprehensive understanding and mastery of the field.

Three actors battling against technical gaffes, sabotaging scenery, and their own personal quarrels with each other to make it to the final curtain call of an original Christian play production. This biblically inspired play, that is filmed on stage, is about a catholic princess, with the help of a brave knight and his sacred trumpet, journey to save her kingdom and people from a malefic witch.

director biography - Dennis Davis

Dennis Davis was born in Miami, FL, and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, where the initial spark to pursue animated filmmaking began. In his early years, he took foundational art, figure drawing, and animation classes. Later on, he moved to Georgia to pursue higher education at Savannah College of Art and Design, where he accomplished both his BFA and MFA in Animation whilst working on numerous animated short films and eventually directing his very first film called 'For Such A Time'. Dennis Davis's career in animation has only just begun with the dream of working on television and feature films as he continues to improve his skills as a 3D Animator and Filmmaker.
